Comment on: A systematic approach of correct laboratory commissioning – special procedural features for medical laboratories using the example of specialised forms of care: supplement and update to the articles in J Lab Med 2014; 38(4): 179–205 and J Lab Med 2015; 39(4): 213–239
Prior to the editorial reorganization and policy of the Journal of Laboratory Medicine after 2016, the authors of the article “A systematic approach of correct laboratory commissioning – special procedural features for medical laboratories using the example of specialised forms of care” (published in this issue of the Journal) published two articles entitled “A systematic approach to billing laboratory services – the legal framework” [J Lab Med 2014; 38(4): 179–205] and “Supplement and update to the article in J Lab Med 2014; 38(4):179–205” [J Lab Med 2015; 39(4): 213–239]. Although the topic of the paper published in this issue no longer falls within the scope of the Journal, the current extension of the two previous articles is exceptionally published in an English translation as a service to our readership of the earlier articles, which deal with the aspects particularly relevant to correct commissioning. In contrast to the articles published in 2014 and 2015, the current article is published in English, as English is the official publication language of the Journal of Laboratory Medicine.
